Our commitment

pepiko.ai provides safety APIs that other companies build into their own AI products. This policy explains how we handle personal data — both the information we collect about people who visit this website or use our dashboard, and the data our customers send through our APIs. pepiko.ai is designed for privacy-first AI safety workflows: data submitted to our APIs is used only to provide the service, and it is never used to train foundation models.

Who this policy covers

Visitors and customers are the people and companies who browse this site, join our waitlist, create an account, or manage an API integration — this policy describes what we collect from you directly. End users are the people who interact with our customers’ products, which in many cases include children and families. The data those end users generate is submitted to our APIs by our customers, and we process it as a service provider on their behalf, not as the party that decided to collect it.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with pepiko.ai, we may collect:

• Contact details you give us directly, such as your name, email address, and company, when you join our waitlist, create an account, or contact us.
• Account and billing information needed to provision API access and process payment, handled through our payment processor.
• Usage data, such as API request volume, response times, and error rates, used to operate and improve the service.
• Content submitted to our APIs for classification, moderation, or routing, processed on behalf of the customer sending it.
• Standard website analytics and log data, such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide and operate our APIs and dashboard, respond to support and sales inquiries, send product and security updates, detect and prevent abuse of our services, and meet legal and contractual obligations. Content submitted through our APIs is used only to generate the classification, moderation, or routing result our customer requested — never to train foundation models, and never shared with unrelated third parties.

Data handling

We process request data only for safety classification, routing, debugging, and agreed retention windows. Access to production data is restricted by role, and administrative actions are logged. Where we rely on infrastructure or sub-processors to operate the service, they are held to the same data handling standards under contract — see our Trust Center for the current status as it becomes available.

Data retention and deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. API request content is retained for the shorter of the period needed for debugging and safety review, or the retention window agreed with the customer sending it. You can request deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us.

Children’s data

pepiko.ai’s own website and waitlist are intended for businesses and developers, not children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through this site. Many of our customers build products used by children and families, which is exactly why pepiko.ai exists: our APIs give those customers tools for data minimization, access controls, and clear policy decisions when handling data from younger users. Responsibility for obtaining any consent required under laws like COPPA sits with the customer operating the end-user-facing product; we support that responsibility with privacy-conscious infrastructure and configurable retention controls.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and contractual retention requirements.
